Mail Design Professional

The Mail Design Professional (MDP) course offers in-depth training on postal standards for designing letter and flat mail. It focuses on optimizing designs for high-speed automation processing while maximizing cost efficiency and minimizing delays. This allows customers to enhance their professionalism, maximize their proficiency in designing letter-size and flat-size mail while meeting USPS standards.

This 3-day course (May 4-6) will cover elements of design that will increase the market value and deliverability of mailpieces. Participants will learn how to properly design various types of mail to enhance its compatibility with USPS automation equipment while maximizing cost effectiveness. Upon course completion participants can obtain certification by successfully completing an exam with a passing score of 80%. This certification is valid for 2-years and with the participant's permission, their name and organization are displayed on the official MDP site. Graduates can also request a digital badge that can be added to email and public social media outlets, such as LinkedIn. In addition to an NPF registration, a $49 processing fee applies.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received by February 27, 2026 are subject to a $25 processing fee. Cancellations received between February 28 and April 10, 2026 are subject to a $100 processing fee. No refunds, full or partial, will be issued for cancelations received after April 11, 2026.

Cancelling your registration also cancels your hotel registration if the reservation was made through NPF.
